A friend of mine showed me the following video, and I would encourage everyone I know to watch it:
I'm not sure what I want to say about this, other than that I feel it is an incredibly beautiful tribute to people. It reminded me that I have faith in humanity. It's easy to lose sight of how intelligent, articulate, and passionate the people around us can be. I feel as though many of us are afraid to reach out to the people around us because of cultural predispositions, exemplifying current events, or just because we're so lost in our own world that the thought of touching someone else's would be like jumping further into a hole that we can't get out of.
If I wanted, I could count the number of times that people have let me down. I cannot, however, count the number of times that people have surprised and inspired me. I have faith in people because of this, no matter their race, color or creed.
